Leaders attending a world economic summit backed a suggestion by British Prime Minister John Major that athletes from Yugoslavia be allowed to participate in the Olympic Games as individuals, but not under the banner of the former Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia is banned from taking part in the Olympics.
