Monrovia : Affordable Condos OKd
A nonprofit, affordable housing coalition won approval Tuesday from the City Council for its first Monrovia project, a 16-unit condominium development at the corner of South Canyon Boulevard and East Walnut Avenue.
The Monrovia Resources Development Corp. developed the project as a prototype for affordable housing in the city, said Blaine Fetter, the corporation’s president. No prices for the units were given.
The units will all be sold under affordable housing guidelines.
The development caused concern from some neighbors about potential parking problems, but City Council members said they felt a city-sponsored parking survey had answered those concerns.
