Goodby Old Glory: Barbara Kruger’s monumental mural, “Untitled (Questions),” a landmark work on the south wall of the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Temporary Contemporary in Little Tokyo, is scheduled to be painted over this weekend as part of an agreement between MOCA, Kruger and Little Tokyo community groups that the mural would be taken down after two years. The mural, nearly the size of a football field, depicts an American Flag whose stripes are made up of nine politically themed questions such as “Who is beyond the law?” “Who is free to choose?” “Who salutes longest?” and “Who prays loudest?”
