NEW YORK NOTEBOOK : Payday for Clinton Staff

A surge in fund raising has eased a cash crunch and enabled the Clinton campaign to pay its staff back salaries, said Eli Segal, the campaign chief of staff. The campaign, which raised $3.3 million in June and projected raising $2.8 million in July, expects to eliminate its primary debt by September. In addition to money owed staffers, the Clinton campaign primarily owes payment to printers and utilities.
