Bush Vetoes Motor-Voter Bill
First, I’d like to congratulate President Bush on vetoing the “motor-voter” bill (“President’s Veto Puts Brake on ‘Motor-Voter’ Registration Bill,” July 3). I’m glad he’s ensured that our country will continue to have the lowest voter turnout in the world. It would be especially dangerous to let young people vote because they could actually become interested in politics and then this country might have a future.
Also, I’d like to relate some shocking news. It’s just been revealed that Bush’s campaign buddy and physical fitness chairman Arnold Schwarzenegger makes his living portraying a cop killer. I’m sure the President intends to fire him from his Administration job and call for a boycott of his movies and their distributors immediately, as he swore to do in a recent campaign speech. Oh, I forgot. Schwarzenegger is white. I guess that makes cop-killing OK.
