NEW YORK NOTES : Scripted Spontaneity

The Democratic Health Caucus gave out flyers explaining in fine detail how its spontaneous floor demonstration in favor of affordable health care was to take place Tuesday. The flyer detailed how the California delegation would march after California Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi’s platform report on health care. Delegates were to chant “Who cares? We care. Up with health care” and to lift signs high on the phrase “up with health care.”
