CUTTING LOSSES: Tourists will be a little less numerous again this year, but that’s something of a victory. What with recession, quakes and rioting, officials feared large losses. . . . “We had a little backlash right after the L.A. riots, but everything’s back to normal,” says Elaine Cali of Anaheim’s tourist bureau. . . . At a recent tour operators show in San Francisco, “nobody even mentioned the riot, which surprised me.”
