Women to Head CAR: Stanton real estate broker Pat Neal has been elected 1994 president of the California Assn. of Realtors. She is the second woman to head the politically powerful, 87-year-old trade association and the first Orange County broker to hold the top slot since former Anaheim Mayor and now U.S. Sen. John Seymour was president in 1980.
Neal, owner of Copper Penny Real Estate--now Pat Neal Associates--since 1980, will serve a year as president-elect of the 130,000-member association, beginning in November, before being installed as president in November, 1993.
CAR’s first female president was Rebecca Schwab, a real estate broker in La Mesa, who held office in 1984.
