Marina del Rey : Land-Use Meeting Tonight
- Share via
Los Angeles County planners will host a public meeting tonight to discuss possible changes in the land-use plan that governs future development of Marina del Rey.
For years, the county has wanted to encourage redevelopment of the publicly owned marina so the harbor can compete with newer developments planned for the surrounding area.
County planner Ron Hoffman said suggestions for amendments to the land-use plan have been received from about a dozen developers who operate marina businesses on long-term leases with the county. The public also is invited to offer suggestions for the future course of the marina.
Members of the county’s Regional Planning Department staff will be available to answer questions beginning at 6 p.m. and a formal presentation will begin at 7. The meeting will be held at the Burton Chace Park Community Building, 13650 Mindanao Way in Marina del Rey.
