BURBANK : Man to Stand Trial in Shooting Deaths
- Share via
A Burbank man was ordered Thursday to stand trial on charges that he killed two women and injured another in a shooting spree in May, hours after he was convicted of striking his neighbor in a dispute over a rose bush.
Thomas Paul Humenik, 25, is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 21 in Pasadena Superior Court on two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. The shooting occurred on the 2800 block of North Keystone Street about 4 p.m. May 20, a few hours after Humenik was convicted of battery, sentenced to three years probation and fined $810 for attacking his neighbor, Don Boyd, who had stepped onto Humenik’s property in January to trim roses that bordered the two lots.
