The U.S. baseball team brings a six-game winning streak into today’s opening game against Spain. Team USA, playing 29 games in 19 cities in 37 days, finished its pre-Olympic tour with a 20-9 record. . . . The U.S. cycling team was given a late replacement approval for Dave Nicholson, who broke his leg in a crash during practice. John Stenner of Greeley, Colo., the 1992 national individual time trial champion, was approved as a substitute and will compete today in the 100-kilometer team time trial.
