Price of TripleCast Is Lowered

In an effort to spur daily sales, NBC and Cablevision, partners in the pay-per-view Olympic TripleCast, have lowered the price from $29.95 to $19.95.
Also announced Wednesday was a special two-day weekend package that will be sold for the former single-day price, $29.95.
Said Jim Dolin, executive vice president of Cablevision: “While we’ve seen rave reviews from around the country that say the package is indeed a value at current prices, we want to be responsive to the requests we’ve received from cable operators asking for the go-ahead to lower prices and make the value even more obvious.”
Dolin added that a free sample of the TripleCast will be offered tonight and Friday night, 6 to 10, on the CNBC cable channel. All three channels will be shown at once on a four-way screen. TripleCast graphics will be shown in the fourth square.
