Santa Monica : Off Days for School District

The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District has announced the dates for staff development for the 1992-93 school year. Students are given the day off to allow teachers, administrators and office managers to work on state educational frameworks, curriculum and staff training.
The dates:
* Santa Monica High School: Nov. 18, Feb. 2, March 17 and April 21.
* Malibu High School: Oct. 12, Nov. 6, Feb. 2 and March 5.
* Cabrillo and Webster elementary schools: Nov. 6, Feb. 1, Feb. 2 and March 5.
* Lincoln Middle School: Oct. 12, Nov. 6, Feb. 2 and March 17.
* Franklin, McKinley and Roosevelt elementary schools: Nov. 6, Feb. 1, Feb. 2 and March 17.
* John Adams Middle School: Oct. 12, Nov. 6, Nov. 18 and Feb. 2.
* Edison, Grant, Muir Elementary schools and SMASH: Oct. 12, Nov. 6, Feb. 1 and Feb. 2.
* Will Rogers Elementary School: Feb. 1-5.
In addition, all elementary school students will have a day off Nov. 18, and all middle school students will have a day off Feb. 1.
School begins Sept. 10. Winter break is Dec. 21-Jan. 3. Spring break will be April 5-11, and the school year ends on June 18.
