‘Lawrence’ Showing to Benefit AIDS Program

The Children’s Public Television Network will present David Lean’s restored “Lawrence of Arabia” Aug. 18 at the Directors Guild at 7 p.m. as a benefit to help provide environmental and AIDS awareness programs for children.
Its star Peter O’Toole will receive a lifetime achievement award from the nonprofit organization, which is dedicated to enhancing the education of children through the creation of educational and informational television programs.
