Flowers Power: After radio talk show host Peter Tilden’s announcement last Thursday that Gennifer Flowers would be interviewed on his program the next day, station officials at KABC-AM (790) apparently had second thoughts. The nightclub singer who claimed to have a longstanding affair with presidential candidate Bill Clinton was promoting a photo spread in the December issue of Penthouse. “We got such a response, not only from people here in the station, but people from the outside heard about it and thought it was tacky and underhanded because it was so close to the election,” one staffer said. “We didn’t mean for that.” The taped interview, recorded Thursday, will air Wednesday--after the election--in the 5 p.m. hour.
