SEVEN FIGURES? County Registrar of Voters Donald F. Tanney predicts a record turnout in Orange County Tuesday. That could mean a million votes cast here for the first time. With 1,240,778 registered voters, it would take just over 80% of the vote--and Tanney predicts right up to that number. . . . “It’s going to make it hectic for us, but we don’t mind,” Tanney says. “I think it’s great.” Don’t expect any exact totals for a while. About 40,000 additional absentee ballots are expected to come in Election Day, and they won’t all be tabulated before Monday, Nov. 9.
