David Hollins hit a two-run home run and Shane Mack hit a solo homer as a team of major leaguers beat the Japan All-Stars, 3-1, for their third victory in three tries in Tokyo. Jack McDowell of the Chicago White Sox pitched six innings, yielding one of Japan’s two hits. Bob Patterson of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Gregg Olson of the Baltimore Orioles also pitched.
