Woman Dies After Reviving Earlier in Funeral Home

SEATTLE — A woman who was found alive at a funeral home after she was mistakenly declared dead two days ago died Tuesday at Harborview Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said.
Roberta Jones, 68, of Seattle, suffered from colon cancer, an official had said earlier. She was erroneously declared dead on Sunday, when a fire department medic summoned by a relative found her lying on the floor of her apartment with a body temperature of 90 degrees and no apparent pulse.
A funeral home employee later noticed what he thought was faint breathing as he began unloading Jones’ sheet-covered body from a stretcher at the mortuary. Fire Department medics who were called in confirmed she was alive.
