LA MIRADA — The Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District will pay tribute to Arvel Goodman, a longtime coach and athletic director, by naming the football stadium at La Mirada High in his honor.
The ceremony will take place Friday night at halftime of the La Mirada-Artesia game.
Goodman, who retired in June, worked in the district for 33 years, first at Neff High, which was closed, and then at La Mirada. He volunteered to be offensive line coach for the varsity football team this season.
