Royal 16, Righetti 1--Jack Kocur scored five goals and Luke Frazier added three as Royal (26-1) dominated the first-round Southern Section Division II match at Rancho Simi Park.
In a second-round match Friday, Royal will play Crescenta Valley, which defeated Sonora, 12-8. Kocur’s five goals moved him into a tie for sixth on the all-time Southern Section list with 363.
Santa Maria 7, Thousand Oaks 6--Blake Davis scored three goals for visiting Thousand Oaks, but the Lancers (10-9) fell in double overtime in a first-round Southern Section Division II match.
In other Division II matches, Glendale defeated La Habra, 9-6, and Agoura lost to Lompoc, 22-9.
