PIRU : Truck, RV Trailer Collide, Closing Road for 3 Hours

Holiday traffic on California 126 was halted for three hours between Fillmore and Piru on Wednesday evening after a collision between a big-rig truck and an RV trailer, authorities said.
No injuries were reported in the accident, in which the truck and trailer overturned after colliding at 4:45 p.m. near Hopper Canyon, said a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol.
Traffic was halted while emergency crews cleared away the vehicles and a telephone pole, which had fallen across the roadway after being struck, the spokesman said.
“Traffic was extremely heavy and the accident caused quite a backup,” he said.
