COMMUNITY COLLEGE BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Harold’s Late Block Helps Cypress Women Hold On

Tamika Harold blocked a shot with two seconds remaining to help Cypress defeat San Diego Mesa, 49-48, in a nonconference women’s basketball game Wednesday at Cypress College.
Harold had 14 points and 19 rebounds to lead Cypress (4-1). Dianna Lewis had 18 points and 22 rebounds to lead San Diego Mesa (1-4).

At the Chaffey men’s basketball tournament:
Chaffey 81, Golden West 77--Josh Lewis had 26 points and 10 rebounds and Gerald Rhoden added 17 points for Golden West (2-2).

Rancho Santiago 97, Barstow 86--Fred Amos had 23 points and 15 rebounds and Beau Hossler and Ruben Oronoz added 15 points each for Rancho Santiago (3-2). Barstow is 2-3.
