The Internal Revenue Service has bought a book, “Income Taxation of Estates and Trusts,” written by Richard Dougherty of Arcadia, to use as a training manual. The book was originally written to be used by the California Society of CPAs in its continuing education division.
Dougherty, a CPA, is managing partner of Dougherty & Co., a Los Angeles-based accounting firm. He was named outstanding lecturer of the year by the California CPA Society in 1991. He formerly served a five-year term as a specially appointed commissioner to the California Senate committee on insurance legislation.
