West Hills Regional Medical Center and Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks have a new owner following the mega-merger of Columbia Healthcare Corp. and HCA-Hospital Corp. of America.
The merger between Columbia of Louisville, Ky., and Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA created a new company, Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corp., one of the world’s largest health-care providers.
Besides the West Hills and Los Robles medical centers, Columbia/HCA now owns 192 hospitals and other medical facilities in the U. S., England and Switzerland.
Previously, Columbia owned the West Hills center and HCA-Hospital owned the Los Robles center.
