Sony Pictures Forms New Unit: The new worldwide corporate development group will develop and carry out strategic planning to create new business opportunities. The unit will be led by Ken Lemberger, the executive vice president who formerly was vice chairman at Sony’s TriStar Pictures. Lemberger will report to Sony Pictures President Alan J. Levine. The move is one in a series of reorganization moves at the Culver City-based studio, which releases films under the TriStar and Columbia Pictures banners.
