Relief Project to List Rental Vacancies
The Metropolitan Housing Bank, a nonprofit earthquake relief project, is compiling a list of vacant rental properties to provide to victims of the Jan. 17 earthquake.
The bank is asking for information about vacancies in the greater metropolitan area surrounding Los Angeles, including Ventura, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
“This is a win-win situation,” said Rosie De La Cruz, interagency liaison for the Information and Referral Foundation of Los Angeles, which is sponsoring the housing bank. “Property owners can list for free and displaced families can get the list for free. We’re trying to be a clearinghouse.”
To submit listings, call (800) 705-2392.
