UC Irvine Signs Volleyball Player

IRVINE — Lara Nelson of Escondido High signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at UC Irvine, women’s volleyball Coach Mike Puritz said Friday.
Nelson, a 5-foot-8 setter, was a 1993 Mizuno All-Star and four-time All-Avocado League selection.
