Kennedy has won or shared two consecutive Garden Grove League titles. If the Fighting Irish are going to win a third, they will have to find two pitchers to go with Clark (7-3), a first-team all-league pitcher the past two years. Zannitto and Tow are the candidates, but they are unproven. McDaniel is the only pitcher, other than Clark, with varsity experience and he threw one inning last season. “If Clark has to throw too many innings, he could wear down,” Pascal said. Pascal is counting on his team’s speed wearing down opponents. “We’re going to have to run to make some things happen,” he said. Center fielder Morris and left fielder Marino, a second-team all-league player, will do most of the running. Shortstop is another question mark. McDaniel, Clark and Garcia all could play there. “Clark started last year, but I’d like to take one guy and leave him there,” Pascal said.
