Tekelec Reports Loss of $8.6 Million in 4th Quarter

Tekelec reported a loss of $8.6 million for the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 31, down slightly from a loss of $8.8 million for the same period in 1992. Revenues for the fourth quarter were $11.6 million, also down from revenues of $12.4 million for the same period in 1992.
For all of 1993, Tekelec lost $18.5 million, more than double the $8.3-million loss reported for 1992. Revenues for 1993 were $46.8 million, down from $58 million for 1992.
Calabasas-based Tekelec manufactures diagnostic and switching systems for communications companies worldwide.
