Government Contracts Awarded

The following are government contracts won by Orange County companies:
* Hensel Phelps Construction Co. of Irvine won a $51-million contract from the Federal Correctional Institution in Taft to build a federal correctional institution.
* Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Co. and the State of Oregon Public Employee Retirement System of Newport Beach won a $13.2-million contract from the General Services Administration of Auburn, Wash., for office space.
* Rockwell of Los Angeles won an $8.7-million contract from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio for conventional-bomb-module modification.
* KOR Electronics Inc. in Garden Grove won a $737,249 contract from Eglin Air Force Base in Florida for a radio frequency simulator range delay unit.
* Medstone International Inc. of Irvine won a $700,060 contract from the VA National Acquisition Center of Hines, Ill., for purchase and installation of medical equipment.
* Simons, Li & Associates Inc. of Newport Beach won a $400,000 contract from the Los Angeles district of the Army Corps of Engineers to plan several civil works projects.
* Wyvern Technologies Inc. of Santa Ana won a $176,800 contract from Kelly Air Force Base in Texas for 17 distribution boxes.
* Hadley Realty of Anaheim won a $714,950 contract from the Department of Housing and Urban Development office of San Francisco for real estate asset management in Orange County.
* Morton Electronic Materials of Tustin won a $276,037 contract from the Naval Air Warfare Center of Indianapolis, Ind., for electrical and electronic equipment components.
