SANTA FE SPRINGS : City Targets Gun Shops and Massage Parlors
- Share via
City officials are making it more difficult for operators of gun shops and massage parlors to do business.
The City Council has approved an ordinance requiring gun store owners to secure a conditional-use permit from the city. Until last week, gun store owners were only required to file an application with the state Alcohol and Beverage Control Commission before opening, Asst. City Manager Fred Latham said.
The council also adopted a 45-day ban on massage parlors while planning officials determine whether local ordinances need to be strengthened. The ban was approved after the city received an application for a massage parlor. No massage parlors are operating in the city, Latham said.
