VENTURA : School to Hold Forum on Safety
Cabrillo Middle School in Ventura will hold a forum on school safety for parents whose children are either entering the middle school this fall or graduating to high school.
Scheduled to be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cabrillo cafeteria, the forum will give parents an opportunity to get their questions about school safety answered by local school and police officials, Cabrillo Principal Kris Bergstrom said.
Cabrillo officials hold a parent forum early each year, but change the topic according to parents’ main concerns at that time, Bergstrom said.
This year, school safety is at the forefront of many parents’ minds, she said, because of recent violence and racial incidents at county schools.
