Three of the 10 freeway bridges judged by Caltrans to be the most seismically hazardous in Los Angeles County are located in the Valley area:
Bridges: Junction of Ventura Freeway and Golden State Freeway.
Repair Cost: $5.8 million.
Status: Design work complete. Next step is to advertise for construction bids.
Bridges: Junction of Ventura Freeway and Hollywood Freeway.
Repair Cost: Almost $2 million.
Status: Design work complete. Construction bids being solicited.
Bridges: Junction of Tujunga Wash and Ventura Freeway.
Repair Cost: $766,000.
Status: Design work under way. Construction bids being solicited.
