Michael Jordan, expected to be assigned to a minor league team this week, says he’s prepared for the change.
“I’m disappointed,” Jordan said Sunday in Sarasota, Fla. “But I’m eager to pick it (baseball) up quickly. I’ll get more at-bats.
“From my perspective, I still have to prove myself.”
Jordan, 31, the three-time NBA MVP who signed a triple-A contract with the Chicago White Sox in February, will be one of the oldest players in the minor league camp, and the most famous.
Jordan did not play in the White Sox’ 7-5 loss to Texas. He is 0 for 14 this spring with two walks and a sacrifice fly.
