O.C.’s High-Tech Rebound: Orange County’s high-tech industry may be on the rebound. A survey of local technology companies with fewer than 1,000 employees showed employment grew 6% through February compared to the same time a year ago.
Among national companies, employment grew only 4.6% for the same time period. The survey of 126 companies shows that employment grew at 38 of the companies. Hiring was flat at 88 companies and none reported layoffs.
The Orange County index has been up since October.
