WASHINGTON : Visit from Ireland

Irish Prime Minister Albert Reynolds visits Washington this week, and will call on President Clinton on Thursday, St. Patrick’s Day, at the White House for a dinner honoring Irish culture in the United States.
An Administration official said Clinton plans to assure Reynolds of U.S. support for the Ireland-Britain peace plan for Northern Ireland.
“President Clinton has made it clear that he is willing to help in any way possible to combat the violence between the IRA and the Unionists in Northern Ireland,” the official said.
