SMALL AND MINORITY BUSINESSES : Hispanic Chamber to Host Dinner in Honor of Area Latino Leaders

“Business is our focus, but we also want to emphasize giving back to the community,” said Henry Mendoza, a director of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Orange County.
So the chamber next month will host a dinner honoring a group of Southern California Latino community leaders--including Los Angeles Rams kicker Tony Zendejas, La Opinion editor Monica Lozano, actor Edward James Olmos and Rudy Castruita, superintendent of the Santa Ana Unified School District.
Ron Dominguez, an executive vice president for the Walt Disney Co., will be the keynote speaker at the event.
“We wanted to recognize people who have been a positive influence in the Hispanic community and a role model to our youth,” Mendoza said.
The dinner will take place April 16 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Cost is $60 per person through the end of March, and $70 after March 31. The chamber expects about 500 people to attend.
