The incident occurred between 9:30 and 10 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Raul Gomez in the 2500 block of Wright Road. Gomez was treated for a gunshot wound at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard and released.
Gomez told deputies that the two men had arrived at his house Tuesday evening and persuaded his wife, Irma, to let them wait inside. They did not harm the wife, Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Kelly Fadler said.
Raul Gomez told deputies that he did not know the men.
