A fund-raiser for James H. Gilmartin, who is running in the 25th Congressional District Democratic primary, will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. and from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the Santa Clarita Brewing Co., 20655 Soledad Canyon Road, Canyon Country. Twenty percent of the food sales will be donated to Gilmartin’s campaign. Participants need to pick up a green flyer in advance at the United Democratic Headquarters, 20611 Soledad Canyon Road. The Democratic Coalition of the Antelope Valley will host a Lancaster City Council candidates forum held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday in the cafeteria of Park View School, 808 W. Ave. J, Lancaster. Candidates will be on hand at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free. Information: (805) 945-2330.
