Camarillo’s Cornelius Will Give Up Coaching

Camarillo High volleyball Coach Bob Cornelius, who has coached the Scorpions girls’ team for the last 13 years and the boys’ team for the past seven years, said that he will quit coaching after this season.
Cornelius, 52, started the boys’ program at Calabasas in 1988 and helped form the Frontier League for boys’ volleyball the same year.

Camarillo volleyball--The year Coach Bob Cornelius started the boys’ volleyball program at Camarillo High was reported incorrectly in Thursday’s edition. He launched the program in 1988.
“It’s been fun, but I’ve decided there are other things to do in my life,” he said.
