CNBC Reports Cap Cities May Soon Buy King World: Commentator Dan Dorfman said in his daily CNBC report that an analyst told him there is a “high probability” that King World Productions Inc. will be acquired by Capital Cities/ABC Inc. King World distributes syndicated television programs, including “Jeopardy!” “Wheel of Fortune” and “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Dorfman said Oppenheimer & Co. analyst Jessica Reif expects Cap Cities to buy King World in the next one to two years or “maybe a lot sooner.”
