Senior Housing Sale: Host Marriott Corp. said that it has agreed to sell 14 senior living facilities, including a seven-story facility in Laguna Hills, to Health and Rehabilitation Properties Trust of Newton, Mass. The company is selling the Marriott Villa Valencia, a senior citizens home with 345 apartments and a 59-bed health center at 24552 Paseo de Valencia. The facilities are currently leased to Marriott International Inc., which will continue to operate them under long-term leases so there will be no change in day-to-day operations, the company said. Besides Laguna, the senior living facilities are located in Ft. Myers, Deerfield Park, Port St. Lucie, Palm Harbor and Boca Raton, Fla.; Silver Spring, Md.; Arlington Heights, Ill.; Arlington, Va.; Houston, and Scottsdale and Sun City, Ariz. The transaction still must be approved by both companies’ boards of directors.
