MOORPARK : City Hall Expansion Study Is Requested
- Share via
The Moorpark City Council has decided against expanding city offices by purchasing a $190,000 portable building and has instead ordered staff members to study whether a more permanent expansion of City Hall might make more sense.
The council voted 4 to 0 Wednesday to instruct Deputy City Manager Richard Hare to research the costs and feasibility of building such an addition.
“The long-term solution is probably going to be, in the long run, the more economical one,” Mayor Paul Lawrason said.
City staff members had proposed to remedy their cramped office space by installing a second portable building outside City Hall at an estimated cost of $190,875.
