NEWPORT BEACH : It’s in the Cards: Psychics to Gather

For those who did not know already, the Spring Psychic Fair is being held here on March 26 and 27.
According to the fair’s organizer, veteran astrologer Kathleen Scott, people who specialize in handwriting analysis, past-life readings, palm readings and various psychic paraphernalia will congregate at the Hyatt Newporter for the two-day fair.
Scott encourages skeptics as well as believers to attend, “mostly for the fun of it and (out of) plain curiosity.”
Scott does astrology readings using a 100-year calendar that tells her where the planets were positioned at the precise moment of a subject’s birth. From that information, she interprets how the planets will influence a person’s personality, and claims to have predicted pregnancies and job promotions.
“It is a lot of fun,” she said.
There will be vendors selling incense, candles and jewelry as well as readers of palms, Tarot cards and astrology charts.
Admission is free but readings and such will cost. The Hyatt Newporter is at 1107 Jamboree Road in Newport Beach.
