Theodore Marquardt; Oldest Active Boy Scout in America

Theodore Marquardt, 88, honored in 1990 by the Boy Scouts of America as the oldest active Scout in the nation. Marquardt entered the Boy Scouts 66 years ago. He earned his Eagle Scout rating and had more than 30 merit badges. The last, in truck transportation, came in 1993. At the time of his death, Marquardt was still listed as a Scout with Troop 1771 in Dayton, Ohio, where he died Wednesday.
