Ellen Batzel has been appointed president of Security Environmental Systems Inc., a Huntington Beach provider of waste management and transportation services. She succeeds Stephen Grossman, who is now executive vice president of business affairs. Batzel served as executive vice president of legal affairs and corporate development since joining the company last year. Before that, she was a corporate and securities counsel to the company.
