Semtech Corp., a Newbury Park maker of electronic components, said it earned $70,000 in its fiscal fourth quarter ended Jan. 30, compared with a $16,000 profit a year earlier. Semtech attributed part of the gain to sales of new products as the company attempts to shift from military and aerospace to commercial markets.
Its revenue in the latest quarter rose 12%, from $4.77 million to $5.36 million.
For its full fiscal year, Semtech’s earnings fell by nearly 50%, to $300,000, from $589,000 a year before. Its annual revenue increased 6%, from $20.2 million to $21.3 million.
