OXNARD : Festival Will Feature Spring Berry Hunt

In a variation on a traditional Easter egg hunt, the California Strawberry Festival will treat 80 Oxnard kindergarten students to a spring berry hunt Friday in the school yard of Carl Dwire Elementary School.
Children from Carl Dwire and McAuliffe schools--some physically and mentally challenged--will join the berry hunt.
Children’s entertainer Kurt Fries will lead the kids in a sing-along show, while 8-year-old television actor Shane Sweet and the Easter Bunny are scheduled to make appearances.
