SOUTHEAST AREA : Candidate Forums Set in City Races

City Council candidates in Huntington Park and South Gate will present their platforms in two community meetings this week.
In South Gate, where 11 candidates are competing for three seats, the Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a forum at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the South Gate Park Auditorium, 4900 Southern Ave.

In Huntington Park, where nine candidates are vying for three council seats, the Chamber of Commerce will hold a political forum at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Huntington Park High School Auditorium, 6020 Miles Ave.

During each forum, a moderator will ask candidates to state their views and answer questions from the audience.
