North Korea is defying most of the world by refusing to let the International Atomic Energy Agency inspect a facility suspected of producing plutonium. The nation denies it is making nuclear weapons. But troops in South Korea and North Korea were put on high alert last week as the war of words escalated.
Meanwhile, cartoonists have been firing off caricatures of President Kim Il Sung and worrying about the effects of the dispute on international peace and nuclear treaties.
